Dr. Indraneel Karnik
Welcome to Dr. Karnik, who joined Dixie Road Medical Associates on September 6, 2022 to take over upon the retirement of Dr. Richard Thorner. Dr. Karnik grew up close to our practice, attending high school in South Mississauga. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto, Mississauga and medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He did his Family Medicine training at the University of Toronto and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Dr. Karnik has a strong interest in comprehensive family medicine, preventive care and chronic disease management. Since completing his residency in 2018, he has worked in Family Medicine clinics across the GTA. He has also had varied experiences in geriatric medicine, long term care, psychoeducational assessment and learning disorders. In his spare time, Dr. Karnik enjoys cooking, reading, learning French, traveling and spending time with his family. He is comfortable providing care in Marathi, Hindi and intermediate French. Dr. Karnik is very excited to meet you and care for you and your families moving forwards at Dixie Road Medical!

It is therefore essential that you direct all your primary care medical needs to your family doctor and avoid going to walk-in clinics.
If you do require a service that your family doctor doesn’t provide, please talk with your doctor first and they will arrange the necessary referral.
Please note all of our nine physicians work four weekdays per week as well as their evening, weekend and hospital commitments.
