Welcome to Dixie Road Medical Associates

The Doctors

Here at Dixie Road Medical Associates, we have nine family doctors. We currently have five female physicians and four male physicians. Our longest-serving physician is Dr. Baugniet and our newest members are Dr. Indraneel Karnik and Dr. Yashna Vaidya. Dr. Karnik has taken over Dr. Thorner's patient roster, and Dr. Vaidya has taken over Dr. Finn's patient roster.

Dixie Road Medical Associates Family Health Organization (FHO) has been looking after you and your family for generations.  We offer you and your family the opportunity to benefit from comprehensive and accessible health care that suits your needs.

As continuity of care is important to achieve quality care and good long term health outcomes, it is essential that you direct all your primary care medical needs to your family doctor and avoid going to walk-in clinics. If you do require a service that your family doctor doesn’t provide, please talk with your doctor first and they will arrange the necessary referral.

Please note that all nine of our physicians work four weekdays per week as well as their evening, weekend and hospital commitments to the group.

Our team is currently accepting new patients, and you can register online to become a new patient or go on a patient wait list if you wish to become a DRMA patient in the future.

If you are age 50 to 74, the Ontario Breast Screening Program recommends that most women in your age group get screened with mammography every 2 years. If you are 30-69 and you are at high risk of breast cancer please discuss this with your doctor.
Women should begin screening for cervical cancer at age 21 if they are or have ever been sexually active. Women who are not sexually active by age 21 should delay cervical cancer screening until they are sexually active. Sexual activity includes intercourse, as well as digital or oral sexual activity involving the genital area with a partner of either sex. Screening is every 3 years until age 70 unless there is history of abnormal results.
